Why are you so silent on the subject of amaral's conviction being upheld? What IS your excuse this time? Come on man, you can't keep ignoring it. The man you feted for so long as a 'Brilliant detective' is now a convicted criminal, found guilty of lying under oath in a court of law. Portugal, and now the world now know that Leonor, the so called 'child murderess' was beaten and tortured into giving a false confession. It has now been proven, in court, that amaral's word is worse than worthless, but you remain silent on the subject. Speak up man, we want to know what you think, why you continued to support him against all the evidence, all the proof of his incompetence and his corruption. Why did you support him bennett, why did you choose to ignore that which was plain and obvious to the rest of us? Do you now concede you have been wrong all this time? His book is known to be factually incorrect, and bears little relation to the facts of the case, as recorded in the official files. Why did you not carry out proper research into the case, instead of believing his words, against the better judgement of people who know the truth? To remain silent is to remain foolish, to continue to support him is no less criminal than the man himself. The debt, the threats to his wife, the drink-driving, the affair with the married woman. All true, all facts. Why did you ignore them bennett? Why?
